Don’t believe that all tire shops do the same installation. At TireVan, all we do
is tires. Our technicians are tire specialists who receive expert training and they
really care about giving you the very best installation experience possible. Our
procedures are designed for the best installation, from the care we take in lifting
your car, to our expert balancing, to our use of torque wrenches to apply the right
bolt pressure, to our expertise with TPMS systems. We always inflate your tires
carefully to your manufacturer’s recommendation. Finally, in addition to our skill
and care, we utilize the best equipment, which allows us to offer a superior installation.

Designed for use on Ferraris, Porsches, Mercedes, and BMWs, our state-of-the-art
mounting equipment provides scratch-free handling of expensive alloy wheels. Each
wheel is clamped from the inside, and a special “mounting head” prevents metal-to-metal
contact. Twin Teflon breaking rollers provide “no violence” breaking by gently pinching
the two beads together rather than using a side-breaking shovel to rupture the bead.
We safely mount high-performance low-profile and runflat tires as well as tires
with normal aspect ratios. We also handle tires equipped with TPMS (Tire Pressure
Monitoring Systems) with ease, and can install/reset most TPMS sensors if/as needed.

At 60 miles an hour, an average tire rotates 850 times per minute. At this speed,
an out-of-balance tire can wobble and vibrate 14 times a second. Uncorrected, this
vibration can lead to discomfort, noise, tire wear, damage to suspension and steering
systems, and unsafe steering and handling. For the best balance possible, our computerized
equipment uses dynamic 2-axis balancing to correct weight imbalances on two weight
planes (“up-and-down” and “side-to-side”). This assures that the center-of-gravity
of each wheel as it turns is at the center of the axle. Many shops still use static
balancing that only addresses “up-and-down” imbalances, which is inadequate for
today’s vehicles.
TireVan offers patented Road Force® balancing as an optional service. Especially
for today’s low-profile high-performance tires, this additional procedure puts your
dynamically-balanced wheel and tire under a load to simulate actual driving conditions.
Variations in tire sidewall stiffness and rim imperfections are diagnosed. The tire
is remounted on the rim to achieve the best vibration-eliminating alignment of wheel
and tire (similar to noise-cancelling headphones). The result is a tire/wheel assembly
that is as “round while rolling” as possible. Road Force® also detects rim "runout"
and other wheel defects, which static or dynamic balancing cannot diagnose.
TireVan offers StraightTrak® Lateral Force Measurement as an optional service
when doing Road Force® balancing. One of the most difficult problems to correct
is vehicle pull. Straight Trak® LFM allows us to measure and correct the tire
pull and vehicle drift caused by your tires and/or wheels. Based on tire handling
measurements taken during Road Force® balancing, a computerized recommendation
is created allowing us to match your tires/wheels to the best axle location on your
vehicle for each. Putting your wheels into their optimal position, StraightTrak®
LFM minimizes and usually eliminates vehicle drift or “radial pull” caused by the
wheels and tires.
